Northeast Benefit Solutions, Inc. is an independent, carrier agnostic, insurance agency based out of Bangor, Maine, proudly servicing New England. Our business model allows for the flexibility to shop around for our customers, unlike captive agents who work for a single provider. Our dedicated staff has over 50 years of valuable experience, and we take pride in staying up to date on the most recent developments within our industry.
Our Team
Scott McCoy – Co-Owner
Scott grew up in Bangor, attending BHS, and then graduated from the University of Maine, Orono, where he earned his master’s in finance M.Fin., He has held his Life & Health insurance license since Feb. 2008. During that time, he has developed an amazing team of insurance professionals working with the largest supplemental carrier in the US, Aflac. Scott has won numerous awards for best-in-class service, sales, and team leadership. His wife Lauren, along with their 3 children Jordan, Hailee, and Jaxon all live in Hampden, ME.
Colleen Feero – District Manager
Colleen originally comes from the TINY town of Greenfield, Maine. As a young adult she exemplified what it meant to be a hard worker. After 27 years in the retail world, 17 of which was in management she made the change into insurance. Now in her 5th year with us, Colleen has risen to the top of her game. She was promoted to District Manager in Jan of 2021, and in her 1st full year she achieved District Manager of the year. She now lives in Glenburn, Maine with her husband Rich. They have 6 children, and several grandbabies, which keep them busy with family fun on the weekends.
Scott Huntley – Co-Owner
Scott is our resident COUNTY boy. Born and raised in Presque Isle, Maine, where he attended the university of Maine Presque Isle for conservation law. As a young man, Scott left the county and moved to the Bangor area. In 2010, Scott made the transition to financial services getting his Life & Health license. Since then, he has grown a small district with a few agents to a multimillion-dollar operation, achieving every award our industry has to offer. Scott and his wife Heather live in Hampden, ME with their two children Chloe, and Brooks.
Jeff McLaughlin – District Manager
Jeff is local to central Maine, growing up in Bangor. He went to John Bapst HS, and then on to the University of Maine, Orono where he studied chemistry. Jeff switched gears entering the insurance industry 7 years ago. He was promoted to District manager 3 years ago, where he has had tremendous success specializing in voluntary benefits, and individual health insurance. Jeff is our resident tech guru, keeping us all up to date on the latest technology offerings our industry has to offer. He resides in Bangor, Maine with his beautiful daughter Ellie.
